HiTech Racing assigned car development task
NewsHiTech Racing, the reigning British F3 Champions have been given the responsibility of developing the new car in the run up to the first event in August 2008 at Donington Park.

The experienced team lead by team boss David Hayle have been in negotiations with Superleague founder and CEO Robin Webb. Hayle explained of the deal ' We were originally discussing the possibility of running a team in the series – that evolved into the idea of overseeing the test programme for the car, which looks fantastic'

The teams brief is to try and eliminate all problems that may arise from testing so that the car car be in the best shape possible when the clubs receive their cars before the first race. This in turn will hopefully lead to a very strong and reliable car.

Hayle went onto to commend the professionalism of everyone involved with the series so far and their continued dedication and efforts to make everything come together. Particular praise was given to chassis designer Elan who had thought through the design of the car 'very well' said Hayle.

Looking ahead to when the championship gets under way in August 2008, HiTech racing intend to put together a kit of tools and parts for use by all teams as they progress through the championship.

The first test of the new car will be at Silverstone tomorrow morning before heading to Kemble for some straight line performance testing.

“Corinthians is delighted at the opportunity to expand our sporting endeavours into an entirely new competition,” said club Chairman, Andrés Sanchez. “Superleague Formula is a great chance for Corinthians to do battle with some of the other leading names in world football – our chance to fight it out on the world stage.”

SLF boss Alex Andreu said: "We witnessed an amazing reception when we launched the Flamengo entry in Brazil. That reaction really convinced us that having Corinthians take part would be hugely beneficial - for both the championship and the club itself. We now have the two most popular clubs in that region of the world – a huge fan base who will be very keen to see their team take on Europe’s best at race tracks around the world.”
